  • 4-6 pork chops 1-inch thick, boneless or bone-in
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare a 9x9 inch baking dish by spraying it with cooking spray.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  4. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels.
  5. Place the pork chops in the prepared baking dish.
  6. Drizzle the olive oil over the pork chops, mix together with your hands or use a basting brush to ensure even coverage.
  7. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the pork chops and spread evenly
  8. Bake the pork chops in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  9. Remove the pork chops from the oven and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, use pork chops that are at least 1-inch thick to prevent them from drying out.
Use a meat thermometer to ensure the pork chops reach the safe internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
Don't skip the resting time, as it allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
This seasoning mix can also be used on chicken or steak.
For a complete meal, consider adding vegetables to the baking dish for a sheet pan dinner.
